Hamden: Silverbells Holiday Festival

Description: Join the Hamden Arts Commission for their annual Silverbells Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 2nd from 2:30-5:30 at Hamden Town Center Park. The event will feature Letters to Santa, button making, facepainting, a visit by Santa and more.

The event begins indoors at 2:30pm inside the Thornton Wilder Hall with a wonderful performance by Wayne Martin Puppets: "Martin's Magical Musical Review" (40 minute performance). Tickets to this performance are available at the door only, cash only and are $2 children, $3 adults.

The event continues outdoors in Town Center Park - free of charge - (bring cash for food vendors) with a visit by Santa himself around 4:30pm. Plenty of parking is available both in the Miller Library lot and on the Town Center field behind the Hamden Middle School.

The Commission will also be collecting toys for the annual Toy Drive benefitting families throughout Hamden. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to place beneath our tree to share with a family in need this season.

Rain date for outdoor activities is Sunday, December 3rd while the indoor puppet show will go on rain or shine on December 2nd.
