10:00am [10:00am] Branford: Mini-Maker Table
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required just come ready to tinker, play and create!

[10:00am] Washington: Junior Drop-in Programs
Stop in Saturdays in January for a variety of winter crafts, STEM challenges, and cultural celebrations. January 4: Winter Experiments. Learn about what causes condensation and frost, build and melt a snowman in record time, create a snowstorm in a jar, make snow slime and explore other scientific aspects of winter. January 11: STEM Snowflakes. Have you ever built a snowflake? Come try it. While here, shake up a flurry of fun by building your very own snow globe, using items like marshmallows, tips, and toothpicks to create sparkly snowflakes. January 18: Blizzard in a Bottle. Winter storms can be so boring but not when you control the weather. Make your very own blizzard with vegetable oil, food coloring, and glitter and become your very own Jack Frost. January 25: Lunar New Year Celebration. It's the year of the Rat, a sign of wealth and surplus. Come celebrate with a variety of activities, games and crafts. Make a paper lantern, learn about Asian letters and numbers, make your own dumplings to-go, explore the Chinese Suitcase Adventure, and more. Registration is requested.
