Description:
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required – just come ready to tinker, play and create!

[10:00am] Canterbury: Old Home Day Fall Festival
Description:
This old-fashioned celebration that has become the local favorite way of embracing fall. Relax and explore the varied exhibitor offerings while enjoying live music, good eats, friendly animals, demonstrations by practitioners of traditional crafts and trades, historical displays, re-enactors, exhibits by civic and nonprofit organizations, local farm products, and the historic 19th century Green District Schoolhouse, now fully restored by the Canterbury Historical Society. In the process, reconnect with old friends or maybe make some new ones. On-site parking on the town green around the First Congregational Church will be strictly limited only to visitors with handicap permits. General parking will be at the Dr. Helen Baldwin Middle School on Westminster Road (Rte. 14), with a free shuttle provided by the town of Canterbury running all day, 10:00 to 4:00. If you choose, you can also walk from the middle school parking area in about five minutes.

Description:
Situated around the beautiful Southington Town Green, the Apple Harvest Festival is a family-oriented event which attracts an estimated 100,000 visitors annually. Over the course of two weekends each autumn, the festival offers a wide variety of live music & entertainment, food, contests, crafts, children’s activities, carnival rides, and more. Also highlighted each year is our parade, the Arts & Crafts Show, and a spectacular evening fireworks display.
