  Litchfield County: Heritage Walks
Description:
Family-oriented, interpretive walks, offered in partnership with the region's historic, cultural, and outdoor recreation organizations and the National Park Service. Local historians, naturalists, and environmentalists lead participants on explorations through historic estate gardens and town districts, behind-the-scenes cultural site tours, nature walks, trail hikes, and tours of many of the industrial-site ruins that were once thriving local industries. There will also be Native American and African history walks, a canoe paddling trip on the Housatonic River and a bike touring ride on scenic country roads. Description:
Event features 750 display airplanes and cars, 150 business exhibitors, advertisers and sponsors, and many fun activities for the entire family. Special attractions include 25 great food trucks, offering a wide choice of great things to eat; along with free seminars, live music, aerial demonstrations, judging and trophies for cars and airplanes, helicopter and AT-6 World War II training plane rides, gyrocopter, Powered Parachute and formation flight demonstrations, radio control model aerobatics, banner tow pickup demonstrations, new aircraft and car dealers, local crafts persons, and much more. Handicapped parking and accessible restrooms. Pets on a leash are welcome, and we provide a watering station. This is a great way for the family to enjoy a wholesome activity in the beautiful New England fall weather. Event is free, but donations are appreciated.

Description:
This is a huge celebration of the history, art, and culture of New Haven's LGBTQ+ community featuring food vendors, shopping and information booths, a large outdoor stage with performances, and a DJ playing music. A community-wide safe space for New Haven and CT's diverse LGBTQ+ community.

Description:
A special day for our four-legged friends. All friendly, well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome. Enjoy lots of activities to keep families and their pets entertained including: K9 demonstrations, agility course, fun contests, adoption area, microchip clinic, vendor booths, and more. Also, featuring Agility Course, photo booth, pet healthy and safety demonstrations, costume and trick contests, hydration station and splash zone, adoption area, pet vendors, door prizes and giveaways.





[12:00pm] New Haven: Early American Fun
Description:
From musket demonstrations to colonial games and crafts, the event offers something for everyone. Held rain or shine, and hosted by the New Haven Museum, which owns and operates the historic site. Enjoy a variety of activities throughout the afternoon, and guided tours of the c.1780 Pardee-Morris House, which replaced the original home burnt by raiding British redcoats in 1779. Members of the 6th CT Regiment, in full colonial dress, will portray Revolutionary War soldiers and artisans. Crafts for kids include tin-punch lantern making and corn-husk-doll making. Colonial crafters will be on hand to demonstrate their expertise in plant-based wool dyeing and wool spinning.

Description:
Join us for the annual Family Day at Lounsbury House, Ridgefield's historic community center. Activities include Circus Activity Zone by Circus Moves, inflatable obstacle course, Touch a Truck, face painting, hair braiding, activities by Bach to Rock, music by School of Rock, activities by Orange Fitness, balloon animals, and food trucks on-site.
