  Stamford: Space Invasion! Sculpture Exhibit

Celebrating 75 years! An event of fun and family since 1944. Crafters, vendors, food concessions, bake sale, raffles, tag sale, and local entertainment. Special demonstration by Stihl Timbersport Champion, Mike Sullivan. Children's activities, pet show, frog jumping, face painting, pony rides, petting zoo and games. Colebrook Volunteer Fire Department touch-a-truck and smoke house. Enjoy the 7th annual Car Show, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and Cardboard Boat Regatta at 3:30 p.m. Rain or shine. Located in the historic town center at the intersections of Route 183 and Route 182A. A community fair where families and friends celebrate the start of Labor Day Weekend.

[10:00am] Branford: Mini-Maker Table
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required just come ready to tinker, play and create!

[11:10am] New London: Walking Tour of Historic New London
Join us for a free guided tour of historic downtown New London. Grab the family and explore the Thames River Heritage Park this weekend. Join local historian and author Gail B. MacDonald for a free walking tour of fowntown New London. The tours are led by New London resident Gail B. MacDonald, a journalism faculty member at the University of Connecticut. She is a veteran journalist, author of Morton F. Plant and the Connecticut Shoreline and a second book, Hidden History of Mystic and Stonington, which is scheduled for release in spring of 2020. Tours at 11:10 and 1:15.
