  Statewide: Connecticut Trails Day
For a state small in geography, Connecticut always goes big when it comes to public land use and outdoor recreation. The Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA), organizers of the annual Connecticut Trails Day celebration, the largest of its kind in the nation. Showing support by getting outside and having some fun is a relatively easy challenge with over 250 free, guided activities happening in towns across the state. Events are hosted by volunteer groups and individuals and include hiking, biking, horseback riding, running, trail maintenance, kayaking, educational walks, bird watching, letterboxing, and more for people of all ages and interests. Various Locations: Spring Outdoors
Spring Outdoors runs from the Spring Equinox on March 20 until the Summer Solstice on June 21. This program connects you to lands, waters, and trails in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor, including some properties not normally accessible to the public. Featuring a variety of adventures from strolls to long distance hikes and paddles to bike and more.

10:00am [10:00am] Branford: Mini-Maker Table
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required – just come ready to tinker, play and create!

[10:00am] Stratford: Main Street Festival
Rain or shine, the annual Stratford Main Street Festival, presented by the Stratford Rotary Club on Main Street from Stratford Center to Stratford Avenue. The Main Street Festival promotes Stratford’s energy and community by bringing together over 100 local vendors, including bands and entertainment, food trucks, booths and artists. The event also provides an opportunity for Stratford’s diverse organizations to educate the public about their functions and support fundraising efforts. Vendor booths and trucks will line Main Street, allowing residents to stroll through Stratford Center, embracing the beauty of the town’s Main Street. Various bands and entertainers will be performing throughout the day on the West Broad Street Green.

[10:00am] West Hartford: Celebrate! West Hartford
The 33rd annual Celebrate West Hartford will take place on the grounds of West Hartford Town Hall in 2019 on Saturday, June 1st from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday, June 2nd from Noon to 6 PM. Attracting over 35,000 people each year from the greater Hartford area, Celebrate West Hartford also provides festival attendees with a wide range of family activities – a highly rated juried arts & crafts show, great food, entertainment, games, carnival rides, a certified 5K road race and Kids Fun Run. The two-day community fair presents businesses, civic and service organizations, recreation groups and charitable foundations a way to increase public awareness of their important work. There is no admission charge for the event and many of the activities are free. Entertainment on Saturday includes performances by numerous local school jazz ensembles. Professional bands perform on Sunday afternoon. Celebrate West Hartford garnered awards in the Best Festival and Best Local Annual Event categories by Hartford Magazine for several years in a row.

[11:00am] Danbury: Street Festival
A celebration of arts and innovation! Historic Main Street in downtown Danbury will be lined with a variety of vendors, selling their art or artisan made products. The local businesses will take over the sidewalks, delightful live entertainment will be going on, and people from greater Danbury and beyond will be sharing in the excitement of the day. Downtown will be the place to be on June 1.

[11:00am] Griswold: Youthtopia!
Come enjoy various activities and fun for the entire family. The event features inflatables for the kids to enjoy and various vendors from around the area, as well as other to-be-announced forms of entertainment that are sure to bring a smile to your entire family. Music, rides, fun and kids activities all day.

[11:00am] Guilford: Opening Weekend - Celebrate 101 Years
Located just east of the Guilford Green, the Hyland House was built in 1713 and is an outstanding example of early Colonial architecture. Early inhabitants were Ebenezer Parmelee, a master carpenter and clockmaker, and Candace, a slave and part of Guilford's Witness Stones project to acknowledge the area's slave history. The Hyland House is fully furnished as if a family still lived there in the early Guilford Colonial-style with collections of furnishings and beds, quilts, many toys and dolls, kitchenware, tools and other interesting items and clothing, including whalebone corsets. For our 101st year celebrations, join us for special activities, house tours and "I Spy" Treasure Hunts.

[5:00pm] Wethersfield: Fireworks
Back for the 6th year, the Fireworks 2019 celebration at Cove Park. Arrive at 5 p.m. for social hour, bring your picnic dinner, or buy from one of the food vendors, your choice. Dance to the DJ and visit the face painter, henna artist, railroad rides, and a climbing wall. Fireworks will be ready to go at 9:10 p.m. Rain date June 8.

[7:00pm] Norwalk: Mad About the Mouse
This musical event will enchant guests with songs of celebration, inspiration, and transformation from various Disney production. Presented by Norwalk Community Chorale.
