10:00am [10:00am] Branford: Mini-Maker Table
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required just come ready to tinker, play and create!

[11:00am] Southport: Plant Blossom's Garden
Come with a plant (herbs, basil, dill, cilantro, parsley, lettuce), decorate a marker, and help prepare the soil to renew the eating garden for Blossom, the resident Reading Ambassador rabbit. Cupcakes to celebrate. Ages 6 and up. Pre-register: 203-259-0346

[12:00pm] Brookfield: Spring Open House
Demonstrations will be working in the blacksmithing, ceramics, fiber, fine metals/jewelry, woodturning, glass and painting/drawing studios. Stop by the newly remodeled gallery that will exhibiting the work of the current faculty, and wander through the shop which is full of handcrafted items from artists across the country.

[2:00pm] Avon: Meet a Ballerina
Children will participate in a dance class alongside a fully outfitted ballerina. A short performance by the dancer and photo opportunity follows the class. Ages 5-7. Pre-reister: 860-673-9712, ext 3

[2:00pm] Newtown: Edible Insects
Stamford Nature Center presents the who, what, where, and why behind eating bugs. Meet some live bugs that might be on a menu somewhere as well as some animals that eat bugs. If you're brave, you might be able to try an edible insect snack. Ages 3 and up. Pre-register: 203-426-4533
