Description:
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required – just come ready to tinker, play and create!

Description:
Celebrate “Peace on Earth” during the holidays this year and experience one of the largest gingerbread house festivals in New England. Be filled with wonder and be touched by peace as you gaze upon row after row of creative and colorful gingerbread creations, all created by regional artisans and bakers, students and community members, expert and beginner alike. The Wood, located on historic Old Main Street, provides the perfect holiday venue for showcasing the sugary artistic creations among sparkling lights and colorful decor. Musical performances, story time and craft events, even visits from Santa will be scattered throughout the festival providing patrons with an uplifting, peaceful and creative break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Finally, don’t forget to stop by “Ye Olde Gingerbread Shoppe” for the opportunity to take home a bit of the magic with many holiday themed gifts and treats.

Description:
Families are invited to bring along their cameras to capture a special moment with Santa and there is no cost to participate. The entire store is decked for the holidays and ready for families to join them for this annual tradition.




[1:00pm] Manchester: Santa's Workshop
Description:
A free event sponsored by Wickham Park from December 13th through December 23rd. Children of all ages enjoy visits with Santa and his elves and refreshments with Mrs. Claus. Santa’s Workshop provides a chance for children to enjoy a non-commercialized Christmas experience. Guests are welcome to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to area food pantries. Hours are 3-6pm weekdays and 1-5pm on weekends. Come and create a new family tradition.

Description:
Santa will visit The Shops at Yale and read stories to children and take photos with families from 1:00-3:00pm. Free and open to the public. Snacks will be provided. -Saturdays, Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at The Yale Bookstore, 77 Broadway, with free face painting. -Sundays, Nov. 25 and Dec 23 at Willoughby’s Coffee & Tea, 194 York Street. -Sundays, Dec. 2, 9 and 16 at Claire’s Corner Copia, 1000 Chapel Street.

[3:00pm] Stafford: WinterFest
Description:
Hundreds of luminaries will spread hometown holiday cheer at Stafford WinterFest, a one-of-a-kind holiday event. Experience sights and sounds of the season, featuring the WinterFest Parade of Lights, community performances, visits with Santa, food and merchant vendors, a Live Nativity, community bonfire, and more! The event kicks off at 3 p.m. with the "WinterFest Marketplace," featuring food and merchant vendors at Town Hall, as well as a Live Nativity performance - with real animals and actors - at the First United Methodist Church (8 Church Street). The WinterFest Parade of Lights steps off at 4 p.m. from Olympic Park Circle to Town hall. Commencing just after dusk, floats and vehicles will be illuminated for evening viewing. Immediately following - about 5 p.m. - lively music and caroling with the SHS Marching Band and Choir will accompany the celebration, along with a community bonfire - both taking place at Haymarket Common (31 Main Street). After the ceremony, Santa Claus will be waiting for children in Town Hall (1 Main Street, 2nd Floor), all are welcome to mix and mingle while enjoying refreshments and shopping merchant and food vendors, which will remain open until 7 p.m.

[7:00pm] Bristol: Handbell Concert
Description:
Shoreline Ringers, a community handbell choir based out of southeastern Connecticut, awes and inspires audiences with their ringing. This dynamic and energetic handbell choir is dedicated to musical excellence and handbell education through their exciting and uplifting performances. the repertoire performed by this inspirational handbell choir, is secular and popular in nature, and includes varying techniques and rhythms that promise pleasure and fun for all.
