[10:00am] Branford: Mini-Maker Table
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required just come ready to tinker, play and create!

Four Killingworth farms will open their doors to the public where visitors are welcome to tour the farms, enjoy special farm tour demonstrations and treats, and browse farm stores filled with locally produced gifts for everyone. Participating farms: Bitta Blue Farm, 228 River Rd. Offers goat milk soap, lotions, bath accessories, jams, jellies, dried fruit, late season vegetables. Closes at 3 p.m. Down the Lane Farm, 18 Reservoir Rd. Offers honey, soaps, skin care, beeswax candles. Lavender Pond Farm, 318 Roast Meat Hill Rd. Offers lavender, bath/body/home lavender products, lavender-themed gifts. New England Alpacas, 14 Bethke Rd. Offers alpaca fleece and yarn products. Maps and postcards with addresses of all farms are available at each farm. No public restrooms or food vendors.

Nov. 10th: November is Native American Heritage Month. We'll be reading Go Show the World: A Celebration of Indigenous Heroes by Wab Kinew. Nov. 17th: We're celebrating Thanksgiving with Todd Parr's The Thankful Book and other stories of giving thanks. Nov. 24th: We're having a special Dr. Suess storytime. We're celebrating the new holiday film, How the Grinch Stole Christmas with handouts and a craft that should make hearts grow 3 times their size. The Yale Bookstore will validate 1 hour of FREE parking in the Broadway Lot with any purchase
