After 28 years, Walktober is still the best way to celebrate all the beauty, historic treasures and working farms of the 35 towns of eastern Connecticut and south-central Massachusetts. With more than 200 unique experiences, you値l get a chance to see some of the most beautiful landscapes in New England, meet some of the heroes and scoundrels who shaped our nation, and see first-hand what it means to farm and eat local. All of this is made possible by the most passionate volunteers you will ever meet. Every Walktober leader will share with you what they love about The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor. Whether you call The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor home, or you are visiting for the first time or the 10th time, you値l come away with a new appreciation for why this place is so special. [2:00pm] New Britain: Veterans Day Concert
The Plainville Wind Ensemble begins their 31st concert season with the 13th annual Veteran's Day Concert. The concert is dedicated to our veterans and those presently serving in the military. Conducted by Kenneth Bagley, the 80 piece, symphonic concert band will be joined by the Plainville Choral Society to honor our Greatest Generation. Free, donation of a new toy appreciated.
