The Litchfield Historical Society is celebrating the middle of summer vacation with a week of free afternoon crafts and games for families at the Tapping Reeve Meadow. [6:30pm] Keeney Kooler Concert Series
Wethersfield Historical Society’s annual Keeney Koolers free outdoor summer concerts! Come over to the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, 200 Main Street, Tuesday evenings in July for some great music and good friends! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, food and beverages and kick back and relax with some great Connecticut talent. Bring your dancing shoes! All concerts are on the front lawn of the Keeney Center. In the event of rain, the concerts will be held on the second floor of the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center in the Keeney Ballroom. Join us before the concerts for family activities from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The concert schedule is: July 10 – Tirebiter kicks off our 2018 Keeney Koolers concert series with classic rock-and-roll. July 17 – Number Nine returns to our series with their popular interpretations of Beatles music. July 24 – Latanya Farrell is back by popular demand with her ensemble of highly talented musicians and will perform soul, blues, jazz and dance classics.

There are plenty of seats at the Rockwell Park Amphitheater but we encourage you to bring lawn chairs and a blanket to enjoy a picnic in the park to the backdrop of an amazing band. This year they are excited to announce the return of “Chef Bills Makin Bacon Food Truck,” a delicious food truck that will be available every week, so come on out and enjoy dinner and a show.
