Bring the kids to Home Depot to complete a free wood craft project. Scheduled projects: April 7 - Window Birdhouse May 5 - Windmill Planter June 2 - Classic Car July 7 - Fishing Game August 4 - Bookworm Bookends September 1 - Field Goal Game October 5 - Fireboat November 3 - Helicopter November 24 - Gingerbread Man Ornament December 1 - Sled with Reindeer January 5 - Easel with Whiteboard All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

[10:00am] Branford: Mini-Maker Table
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required just come ready to tinker, play and create!

[10:00am] Enfield: Fourth of July Town Celebration
Old-fashioned July 4th celebration with live entertainment, arts and crafts show, Taste of Enfield, parade (Sat.), concerts, children activities and rides, a teen zone, 5K road race, pie eating contest, demonstrations, and a large fireworks on Sunday at 9:45 p.m.

[11:00am] Norwalk: NICE Festival
The NICE Festival Series host dancers, musicians, food and craft vendors from multiple traditions and customs; and encourage the community to spend the day together. One day festival celebrating different world cultures through music, food and the performing arts. Day-long event filled with an abundance of cultural experiences with more than 50 vendors offering a wide array of international cuisines, arts and crafts and community services. Cultural performances from multiple traditions include live dancers: Flamenco, Asian, African, and more. Live music includes: Rock, Reggae, Rhythm & Blues, Latin. Along with education, health, and environmental exhibits. Children's activities offered from 11 a.m.-6 p.m with family friendly attractions with fun interactive games, and exhibits.

[2:00pm] Branford: Fun with Rhythms
During the Family Drum Circle with Edward Leonard, children (and adults) will learn the fundamentals of music while playing interactive rhythm games with drums and hand-held percussion instruments from around the world. All ages. Pre-register: 203-488-1441, ext 323

[2:00pm] Greenwich: Music Bubble and Comedy Show
Enjoy songs, comedy, bubbles, music technology, and original stories about why libraries rock. Kids will play instruments, try out interactive music technology, and dance along throughout the whole show. Ages 2 and up. More info: 203-622-7940

[4:00pm] Guilford: Community Picnic and Fireworks
Enjoy activities for kids and listen to the Community Band perform a concert on the green. Music and fireworks display at the Guilford Fairgrounds, Lovers Lane from 7-10 pm More info: 203-453-8068

[6:30pm] Stamford: Ballet Under the Stars
Enjoy a beautiful evening of dance performances under the stars! Connecticut Ballet, the state's professional ballet company will delight audiences with its classical and contemporary repertoire danced by a sensational cast of soloists and principals.

[8:30pm] Greenwich: Fireworks
Set up a blanket or chairs, pack a picnic, and enjoy the show. Fireworks begin at dusk.
