Spring Outdoors runs from the Spring Equinox on March 20 until the Summer Solstice on June 21. This program connects you to lands, waters, and trails in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor, including some properties not normally accessible to the public. Enjoy interesting features and stories during Spring Outdoors, which is like the Walktober program, but is held as nature springs forth in The Last Green Valley. All the walks, bike rides, paddles, tours, events and more will be listed on our website's Spring Outdoors page and on our facebook page.

11:00am [11:00am] Olde Lyme: Community Free Day
A day of celebration at the Florence Griswold Museum where admission is free. The museum encourages exploration of its exhibitions and grounds on this special free day. Visitors can tour the art exhibitions and historic Griswold House. Creative hands-on art activities in the Hartman Education Center from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Check out the range of Explorer Kits from the Portable Art Cart. Special appearance by Brian Miller Magic at noon and 2 p.m.. Back by popular demand, master magician Brian Miller astounds audiences with his remarkable feats of magic. A popular entertainer and public speaker (his TED talk has been viewed online by over 2.7 million people), Miller returns to the museum to “wow” audience members of all ages.

[1:30pm] New Canaan: Cherry Blossom Festival
“Sakura Matsuri,” is a century-old Japanese tradition to celebrate spring when the cherry blossoms bloom. Enjoy bonsai flower arranging and other demonstrations. Event features live music, dance performances, and activities both for adults and children. Presented by the Japan Society of Fairfield County.
