  [All day event] Various Locations: Spring Outdoors
Spring Outdoors runs from the Spring Equinox on March 20 until the Summer Solstice on June 21. This program connects you to lands, waters, and trails in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor, including some properties not normally accessible to the public. Enjoy interesting features and stories during Spring Outdoors, which is like the Walktober program, but is held as nature springs forth in The Last Green Valley. All the walks, bike rides, paddles, tours, events and more will be listed on our website's Spring Outdoors page and on our facebook page.

11:00am [11:00am] Portland: Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library
Grades 4-8 The clock is ticking and there's only one way out.....can you find it in time? In this adventure based on the former intermediate Nutmeg nominee by Chris Grabenstein, groups will have to work together to solve puzzles, unlock clues, and find a way out of the library meeting room before time runs out. 3 sessions: 11-12, 12:30-1:30, 2-3 Space is limited. Registration is required.

[11:00am] Uncasville: Family Days
Join us for Family Days at Mohegan Sun during school vacation weeks! Children and their parents will enjoy a wide range of free activities from demonstrations and clinics put on by the New England Black Wolves and the Connecticut Sun, to manicures and hair styling by Paul Mitchell the School North Haven and a culinary display by Mohegan Sunís executive pastry chef, Chef Lynn. Plus, games, movies, arts and crafts and so much more! Discounted Arena concessions will be available on all days. This event is open to the public.

Grades 6 and up. This month, we will be trying out our newest board game, Telestrations! As always, we will be setting up the xbox for group gaming or you can use a laptop from the mobile computer lab to game online with a group of you friends.

[4:00pm] Danbury: Science of Sound
Experiment with sight and sound in this audio/visual workshop on the science of sound. Particularly suited for the young minds and ears, electronics wizard and musician Thom Uliasz will bring in a bunch of devices to illustrate both audibly and visually what sound is, how itís created, how it moves through the air and how it is received in the ear. Starting with the humming vibrations of everyday objects and working up through electronic reproduction, weíll experiment with a variety of noisemakers. Kids especially will enjoy seeing the waveforms created by their own voices on modified TV sets and having their voices digitally sampled and playing them back on a keyboard. FREE. Ages 7 and up.
