  [All day event] Various Locations: Spring Outdoors
Spring Outdoors runs from the Spring Equinox on March 20 until the Summer Solstice on June 21. This program connects you to lands, waters, and trails in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor, including some properties not normally accessible to the public. Enjoy interesting features and stories during Spring Outdoors, which is like the Walktober program, but is held as nature springs forth in The Last Green Valley. All the walks, bike rides, paddles, tours, events and more will be listed on our website's Spring Outdoors page and on our facebook page.

9:00am [9:00am] Hartford: Free First Saturday
Free admission to the museum galleries all day. Activity sheets will be available for children and their families to use as they explore the exhibits. Please note that free admission does not include the Waterman Research Center.

[9:00am] Home Depot Stores: Kids' Workshop
Bring the kids to Home Depot to complete a free wood craft project. Scheduled projects: April 7 - Window Birdhouse May 5 - Windmill Planter June 2 - Classic Car July 7 - Fishing Game August 4 - Bookworm Bookends September 1 - Field Goal Game October 5 - Fireboat November 3 - Helicopter November 24 - Gingerbread Man Ornament December 1 - Sled with Reindeer January 5 - Easel with Whiteboard All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

[10:00am] Branford: Mini-Maker Table
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required just come ready to tinker, play and create!

General admission is FREE on the first Saturday of every month! Come participate in our studio art project from 11 AM - 1 PM and visit exhibitions throughout the Museum. Join us at 10:15 am for stories, songs and more with Miss Cathy. Stay for free play with a special set of toys in the Stepney Room. For babies, toddlers and preschoolers with an adult. Registration not required.

[11:00am] Griswold: Eggtopia
Community egg hunt, plus face painting, coloring, and egg carton decoration. Meet the Easter Bunny! Over 6000 eggs to find! Bring one empty egg carton (12 eggs) per child. Easter Egg Hunt details: starts at 11:30 - ages 2 to 4 starts at 12:15 - ages 5 to 9

[12:00pm] New Britain: Happy Birthday, NBMAA!
The museum is celebrating the big 115 this year and everyone is invited! With free admission all day, guests can enjoy various activities inspired by the exhibition American Post-Impressionists: Maurice and Charles Prendergast. This Community Day will offer an excerpt of Ballet Theatre Company's spring performance as well as en plein air sketching led by museum educators (both weather permitting; rain location will be the Stanley Works Center); there will also be a guided tour of the exhibition. This all-ages event will connect visitors with NBMAA artworks through these various activities as well as provide a unique opportunity to explore the museum's grounds and galleries free of charge.
