Shortly after, Santa will arrive by a horse-drawn wagon and children will be able to tell him their wishes as well as pose for a photo. While you wait for a picture with Santa, you can take part in a holiday craft or go on a hayride given by the Utopia Percherons. Washington will be glowing bright with holiday lights and cheer. As you stroll through the Depot, be sure to stop at the local shops to admire their wreath displays and enjoy some tasty treats. The Hickory Stick Bookshop will have refreshments and special surprises for all visitors while the Washington Art Association will have a beautiful display of gifts. Throughout the evening, carolers will be roaming around the Depot and they will serenade you with traditional holiday songs as you explore the town. The Animal Welfare Society will be providing holiday goodies for both pets and people. The Washington PTO will have hot dogs and chili for sale. This is just a sampling of all that will be happening, so please come to Washington with friends and family. This is a great opportunity for those who have never visited Washington to become acquainted with the town and all the wonderful things it has to offer.
