10:00am [10:00am] Branford: Mini-Maker Table
Description:
Join us every Friday and Saturday for a mini-maker project from our MakerLab! Every month we will feature a quick project or new piece of equipment to mess around with. The results may have you leaving with something to physically take home OR just the satisfaction that you were able to create a circuit, power on an Arduino or thread a sewing machine. The projects are easy, meant for all ages and 100% drop-in. It is just up to you to find out which floor we are featuring the project on and drop on by. Registration for this table is not required – just come ready to tinker, play and create!

Description:
For children and their adults A place to learn, play, create and explore! Adults must stay and participate with their children. These are drop-in programs ~ no registration is needed.

[11:00am] Fairfield: Dogs, Doughnuts, and Doughboys
Description:
Learn about Stubby the World War I dog, soon to be an animated film in 2018. Learn about interesting facts about World War I and how “doughboys” got their name. Enjoy a family-friendly craft creating your own medals while munching on delicious doughnuts, a popular treat for soldiers. For families with kids ages 4 +. The Fairfield Museum will also be collecting items for American soldiers currently overseas. Please check our website for a complete list of items needed for Operation Gratitude.

Description:
Commemorate Veteran’s Day and learn about Stubby the World War I dog, soon to be an animated film in 2018! Learn about interesting facts about WWI and how “doughboys” got their name. Enjoy a family-friendly craft creating your own medals while munching on delicious doughnuts - a popular treat for soldiers. The Fairfield Museum will also be collecting items for American soldiers currently overseas. Please check our website for a complete list of items needed for Operation Gratitude. The CT State Police K9 Division will visit at 1pm with state troopers and their K-9 partners. Meet and watch demonstrations of these German Shephard hero dogs. Also learn about the Fairfield Canine Cooperative and find out more information on how to rescue dogs in need. Recommended for families with kids ages 4 +, but all are welcome!






[3:30pm] Litchfield: Lego Club
Description:
Calling all engineers and architects! Listen to a short story to inspire your creativity, and then build the Lego Challenge of the Week. Team up with a friend, or build solo. Make sure to sign up with your email address so Mrs. Shaia can email a photo of your masterpiece! Feel free to pack a snack to eat during story time. All supplies will be provided. Note: Please leave your personal Legos at home. Please notify Center School by September 15th if your child will be getting off the bus at OWL.
