  Various Locations: Walktober
The Last Green Valley, Inc. offers a variety of experiences each fall during the "Walktober" program. Choose from hundreds of guided experiences and explore the 35-town bi-state National Heritage Corridor, The Last Green Valley, during the most visually intoxicating time of year. Celebrate Walktober which continues to be bigger and better with every passing year. Walk, stroll, bike, paddle, and more. Bring a friend, and then return to these marvelous places again and again all year long. Attend events that highlight the special cultural, historical or natural resources of the Corridor. Each experience is included in the Walktober brochure, available in late August, with a description and key so you can choose appropriately for your likes and abilities (easy, moderate, difficult). Many are designed for families with children, and some even welcome the family dog. Visit farms, hear historical tales, see recreations, paddle a new place, pedal an old rail trail, scavenger hunt your way along a trail, taste & sip, pick an apple, be amazed by corn mazes, talk to turkeys, attend dawn with the beavers, tackle a trail... and so much more! The full-color free Walktober brochure will be available in late August and can be obtained by emailing mail@tlgv.org, calling (860) 774-3300, or online at www.thelastgreenvalley.org
